Level Playing Field

The R-1 gang demanded that all Bisno's advisory board members declare themselves. However, they refuse to do what they demand from others.

I don't think this is fair. They should be held to the same standards as anyone else.

In addition, they claim to have thousands of signatures on petitions which no one can see. I think this is deceitful at best. If they had that many supporters, why could they get only 32 people out to a rally? Why is their mailing list only 74 people? Yes! It's true! This "grassroots" movement has only 74 people on their mailing list. Just plain pitiful.

Unfortunately, when Jody James of the Northwest San Pedro Neighborhood Council chose to send out her email blasting all those in the Central Council as "stooges" she sent it to Mark Wells who promptly forwarded it to just about the entire world.

Since this has become public domain, I thought the rest of the community would like to see how the R-1 gang conducts their business. Plus, since they demand to know who all the Bisno players are, the R-1 players should be public also."The Central SP NC is filled with Bisno stooges and doesn't represent the community. I am not going to take any crap from people who had no trouble seeing this huge, greedy project as a disaster until Mr. Bisno's $ found it's way into their pockets. Our NWSPNC needs to have a slate of good people running. Any nomination ideas? Jody"

Mr. Field,

What is the story with you and Mark Wells? I do not support his position, but you guys have got this war going on with a lot of people getting caught in the middle.

Get a grip.

I imagine that printing email addresses of people listed in private corrspondance is somewhat illegal.

I'm pretty sure printing email addresses is against blog policy as well. And says alot about who's running this blog...

After it is broadcast across the Internet, it becomes public domain.

Let me say this one more time a bit more explicitly so people might understand.

Once you sign up on a public petition with the full knowledge that your information will be turned over to a government official who is subject to the Freedom of Information Act, plus the organization who gathered your information did not give any disclosures or guarantees said information would not be used in any other way, the information becomes PUBLIC DOMAIN.

It was broadcast across the Internet by Mark Wells and Jody James so therefore it is no longer "private" information.

Sorry folks, but that is the way it works. If you don't want to see your information published, don't give it out in the first place.

I'm not selling the information. I am not using it for a mailing list. I'm just leveling the playing field, disclosing the same information for the R-1 group that they require from others.

Just like Mark Wells gave Bisno Development a chance to "compromise" before he went completely R-1, I asked politely several times for the R Neighborhoods Are 1 steering committee to identify themselves and provide the same information they were requiring from people on any Ponte Vista advisory committee. My polite requests were ignored. So I published what was already public domain.

You asked for names of "R Neighborhoods Are 1" steering committee members? Who did you direct your question to?

Broadcast to a couple hundred people sounds like public domain to me.

This is from blogger's user policy:
